The Other Home

Was showing the following photos to my folks today. These are of my neighborhood back in Moscow, the tiny university town in the state of Idaho. Let me know what you think.

Oh my GOD, the first pic is unbelievable. It looks SO beautiful and ethereal, when I first saw it the first semi-thought to flash through my mind was "fairytale illustration". It so reminds me of how I picture the background of that Hans Andersen story The Snow Queen, I've always been quite fascinated by it ever since I first read it. Wow. WOW. Can't believe you're living in my Snow Queen land, I'm so envious. I'm saving it, okay?

@ Reeta
:D Glad to have brought some warmth in your cold days.

@ Jayant
Nope. One is in my backyard and the other is on campus. Good observation though.

@ Kanu
It is. It still is!

@ Reeta
Will check out.

@ D
Thanks!

@ Rohit
Cool...in every which way.

@ Amiya
Glad you liked it. But bear in mind, snow and ice look nice only in photos. Or if you are sitting inside a cafe. In real life, they are messy, sheer nuisances and downright dangerous.

@ Kavya
Thanks!

@ Anuradha
Thank you.

@ Vir
You bet.

@ Joy
:) Nice name.

@ Freesherry
Thank you!

Wow, I've never seen so much snow in my life, but am hoping that someday, someway I will...

BTW, around what time did you take these pix? Especially the first one, seems like day, early evening at best, but the moon seems to suggest that it is n9ght.
